I listened to your podcast without your photos the other day, but now that I listen with the photos on a screen the awe has alighted upon me. Thank you! Oh the glory of following inklings with a sidestep!

Love those inklings!

As always, lovely photos of lights and tinsel that really are more beautiful than the artificial kind. I also love the reminder to pay attention to what IS instead of rushing to find what you think will be somewhere else. I'm SO guilty of rushing ahead.

Thanks very much Sarah. I’m often guilty of it, but perhaps writing it down helped as afterwards I managed to choose not to go and see how icy the rest of the puddles were and concentrate on the one in front of me. I think we all have a bit of butterfly in us, forever flitting between flowers.

I really love the audio recordings out in nature .. a 3rd or 4th dimension to the visual treats you share each week … they once again transport me to a distant place when our own wheels are spinning in muddy waters ..

Thank you Nigel. I enjoy doing them outside, so the weather will have to be pretty foul to stop me. I hope you get some traction to take you onto firmer ground.

Michelle your photos are stunningly beautiful, I’m envious of such a heavy haw frost, the like of which we rarely find here… I live in hope bough!

I loved the voice recording, I wish I could find the courage to do the same!

Expand full comment

Yes, we do do a good frost here! This was an unexpected bonus of a sudden drop in temperature after wet snow, so it’s a mix of frost, ice and snow.

You had snow too? Now I am truly green with envy!

Incredible photos!! Loved the audio too. I'm with you on nature being a thousand times more festive than any of the commercial stuff.
