I love your framing here Michela and I feel such a connection to all you bring us from your attentive wandering and seeking. A treasure - visually, aurally and esp your writing.

This is a wonderful post, really affirming and a bit of joy on grey days

Thanks Paul, I’m happy it’s brightened your morning a little. The wind is howling here and bar some predawn opalescent light on the clouds, it looks like being another grey day.

We had lots of wind too, was nice being in my studio listening to it. Definitely a grey one! I reread something I wrote a few months back about the shades of grey filtering into the house when we're just waking up, so many greys at this time of year

Such a calming post. I love the natural tones and colours of your photography and monoprint. Just stunning!

Thank you Nicki. I adore the colours here, it’s such an inspiring palette. Even on a dark and damp day! (This week’s challenge to myself.)

Your images are lovely, and your words a graceful companion to them, like a tour guide who shows you the interesting rather than the expected things. Nicely done.

That's such a kind comment Carol, thank you. I love the idea of being 'on tour'.

How beautiful this is! I love the image of polishing your stone. Congratulations on the new vision -- it‘s just gorgeous. I‘m especially taken with the monoprint. When I studied photography, back in the day, alternative process was my absolute favorite. Looking forward to reading more!

Thanks Caroline, that’s great to hear. Yes, there’s something about materials, tools and processes that limit our ability to control - and overthink - the result. And yet for years we spend time and energy in a fruitless quest to get it ‘right’ and achieve perfection. How much more fun to just see where curiosity leads!

Thanks Ian, I’m slowly getting past hiding behind the written word. Like the camera’s viewfinder, it’s where I feel most comfortable. It’s good to have your company here, and thank you for the recommendation which is much appreciated.
