Your new About page is spot on because listening to your words and sounds while looking at your amazing pictures has the same effect as a meditation on me: it almost instantly brings me a feeling of peace and calm, and invites me to slow down and feel more grounded.
Your spider webs pictures are absolutely stunning. The dew almost looks like jewelry! And this monochrome daffodil is gorgeous.
That’s so wonderful to hear Mailys, thank you! And now I’ll be looking at those webs differently after reading Rebecca Hooper’s post this morning—you might enjoy it too.
I appreciate the highlight of the blackbird bathing. I get such a lovely feeling when I see a bird enjoying a bath I've just cleaned and refilled. It's such a simple thing, but makes such a difference.
Thanks Kate, glad you enjoyed this. I do indeed—I’ve been using it for the past year, and find it invaluable. Every so often there’s a surprise new discovery.
This was a beautiful listen Michela. I could listen to that birdsong all day, including the drumming. Divine. Your words describe what you see and hear so I feel that I can see and hear them too. The photos are wonderful as ever. You are so talented. Thank you 😊
Thanks Linda, you’re very kind. It’s the first time I’ve been so close to a woodpecker drumming on deadwood and the second, coming in at a different pitch, was wonderful. Oh, and I think your photos and detailed observations on Notes are fantastic too!
Another week of wonder Michela, apologies for being so far behind. That first picture is just beautiful 👏
Absolutely no need to apologise Dave; busy time for you. Thank you (and thank you, will get one off to you).
Looking forward to it 🙏

Doesn’t it just? I was watching a sparrow drink today and thinking that it felt more special than observing a visit to a feeder.
that photo of the daffodil is absolutely stunning!
Thanks so much Sophie. There is something a little ghostly about it in monochrome.
A beautiful walk I needed this morning. Thank you! Your descriptions are exquisite.
You’re welcome Manuela, great to know that this helped you a little today.
Your observations and images take me walking with you once again Michela - your images are beautiful, the dew on the webs is just gorgeous.
Thanks so much Lin. I was so fortunate to go up there that morning, and will be impatiently waiting for the dew to repeat its magic. As yet, no rerun…
This is so beautiful and relaxing! You don't need it but do you know the Merlin app? It's wonderful for identifying birdsong ✨

Yes, so magical! I learned so much from it!
Sorry for my previous typo Kate.
Don't worry, easily done!
The webs are wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome Amy. So glad to have been there to see them on Tuesday; frost today, but not enough moisture for any magic.
How I look forward to seeing spider webs in the morning. Just a little more snow needs to melt. Beautiful images.
Thanks Stacy. They are magical, aren’t they? Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.
Beautiful images, Michela! I love how the light glints off the spider webs, highlighting the tiny dew drops on them.
Thanks Todd! The drops do take your breath away, and make you realise just how many tiny spiders are about.
Beautiful photo's 🥰
Thanks Naomi. I had another look today, but the webs were staying hidden.
