Lovely writing Michela. Gorgeous observations... I share your love of noticing. Do you read Rob Walkers Substack The Art of noticing?

Until the snow today we too have experienced dreich (a term I haven’t known until now) for several weeks here in British Columbia, Canada. Thank you for the term.

I hear your questioning of message, partially as a result of perhaps seeing yourself/ourselves as a separate entity from the land around us. How about pondering the possibility that in our merging with Place and LAND, that we might be co-creating with land, light. Is reflection that magic merge?

Sometimes in feeling kinship as we are immersed in the creative process might we be coming close to the edges of human and other-than -human. Relating to rather than separate as we often are when being in our intellectual selves? Boundaries co-mingling as we flow, loosing time and becoming lost in place...kind of sucked in like our boots. Such a visceral image, thank you.

A book I’m reading you might like...I’ll add later (28 Precepts of ...)

I think in the creative process we do transform...evolve...like we can in few other ways. A becoming.

Even, and perhaps especially (?) in the dreich.

There’s a few thoughts offered freely as I ponder. Rambling thoughts...please excuse...they aren’t as succinct perhaps as the first go- which vanished when I went to another page mid post!

Love your blog, relate deeply, thank you.

Listicle, word of the day for me. Your list sums up the joys of photography and seeing ‘something’ in the , what many would consider, mundane. Lovely images and words Michela. 😀
