“Beauty does not blind us. But even in ugliness, in the darkness, we will try to find the light.” Love this so much wisdom and meaning behind it. So appropriate text and topics in your post, have been so worried recently about the ugliness in the world today. I think it’s important not to close our eyes shut of the suffering and pain, we have to acknowledge the darkness existence. But at the same time it’s so important to find some hope within the light of the beauty around us 🙏
Thanks Rannsy. Time spent in Nature is so valuable, but even recognising the importance of finding a place of ease, an activity that calms us, it’s hard not to feel that they are an indulgence. It’s a difficult seesaw to balance on. And sometimes the words spill over…
Your words and images always feel like a gentle invitation to step off the path of my hectic life - if only for a moment - take a breath, look around, and really see this world. Thank you for that. 💜
“We cannot choose—or chase—only beauty: light is emphasised by shadows.” I love how you’re essentially speaking of both duality and unity. A lovely read. Thank you.
So lovely, Michela. Your letter reads, and moves me, like a prayerful examen, and the long fragile legs in the last photo will stay with me all day. Thank you.
Thank you Leslie. I wondered if this might edge a little too much towards the shadows; the morning mind works in ways I don’t always foresee. Yes, the spiders on the wire are haunting; nature is nothing if not adaptable.

A nudge to think more deeply, to act more curiously. Thank you
You’re very welcome; thank you.
Such a thought provoking and moving post. I very much love the barbed wire. Truly inspired. The encore and spider web were icing on the cake!
Thank you so much. I have a feeling that I may be back to the wire. I’ve walked past it so many times without seeing the drama there.

Thank you Jamie. Ah yes, that treadmill. We need to take a rest more often than we admit. If this has helped a little, I’m glad.

Hello Wendy, thank you so much. That’s a wonderful way to put it, and is more food for thought.
I really appreciate your reflections. Learning to hold impossible paradoxes...essential somehow, especially now. Thank you xo
Thanks Gaye. Your pairing of words is exquisite: impossible paradoxes.
I like the exploration here.... ”Chasing beauty ", in fact chasing anything, it seems to me. Chasing has a grasping energy, doesn't it.
Thanks Joan. An energy, a desperation perhaps? I’m glad you found it interesting to read.
