The dawn is fair in the West this morning, and a trip to the woods planned for later. It will return, the golden light, and you will be seeking shade again for your lovely photos:)
It is cool when you get these super tight photographs and find the glorious colour palette, which prompts my nose to all those earthy smells, which are the wet before everything pops! Nice!!
I love a quiet corner of the forest, the damp smell of rain
The sound too… Thanks Annika.
Beautiful photos and poems! 💞
Thanks Pamela!
Beautiful!
Thank you Kevin.
I'm a sucker for greens and blues so that first picture may be my new favourite of you, love the colours in that one
It is a lovely combination of tones Sophie. And do you know, I’ve been back twice and it doesn’t even come close to this.
Stunning images ❤️
Thank you Lesley.
Thanks for the poetry and photos, Michela. Nice to see the blue this week
Yes, it has felt so grey, so dark. Glad you enjoyed this Debbie, thank you.
Love the green and blue tones and the shapes. Lovely.
Thanks. A happy coincidence of colour and words!
These are beautiful Michela, such gorgeous muted colours...it's the uplift we all need to see spring's small shoots breaking through.
Thanks Lin. I have sensed over the last week that nature is just getting on with it, irrespective of the rain and cloud.
This is wonderful! I love the colours in all of them. It has been all white here for the past six weeks. Seeing some colour feels good!
That’s good to hear Susanne, thank you. I too delighted in the colours I found; here it has all been grey. But today, sunshine and a little snow!

Happy squelching Michela up there in the Moss.
Thanks Sarah. Today brought sunshine and a covering of snow—good for the soul. I hope you enjoyed your trip to the woods.
That second photo of Moss with those sporophytes is so dreamy and perfect!
Thank you Paul. A happy discovery, one of many worlds on the slope of a fallen tree.
Thank you thank you thank you for this work that feeds my soul in just exactly the place it needs.
Lainey, that makes me so happy to hear 💛

Thanks very much Soren. I find the colours fascinating; some you expect, others swim into view.
